Welcome To Gaslight Square Animal Hospital

Gaslight Square Animal Hospital is a family-owned veterinary hospital serving Jeffersontown and the surrounding communities.

Our hospital is led by Dr. Tom Berge and Dr. Sara Berge, a father-and-daughter team who work side by side with a shared commitment to their patients, their clients, and their community. Being family-run allows us to take a long-term approach to care—building lasting relationships with families and caring for pets throughout every stage of life.

We believe in showing up consistently and doing the work the right way. We say yes whenever possible, communicate honestly when limitations exist, and focus on providing thoughtful, responsible care within the scope of our practice. That dedication comes from years of experience, continuity, and a genuine belief that veterinary medicine is built on trust.

Our doctors and team value familiarity, clear communication, and long-term relationships. Every patient is treated with the same care and respect we give our own pets—because that’s how this hospital has always been run.

What Our Clients Are Saying

I've only been a couple times, but I've never been rushed, or overcharged. They've shown care for my animal and been gentle with her. And they handle things in a way I feel I can trust. And trust is a big deal in a business that may determine the life of your pet.
